Another Day Alive

Sevilla, Spain – November 2024

I’ve always been a person who thinks A LOT. I remember spending hours with my dad in his car, debating about everything and nothing. He always took the time to engage with me and sharpen my critical mind, and I am very grateful for that. This is by far one of the most important qualities my father has passed on to me.

He is also such a content person, so much so that nothing ever feels like a big deal to him. This was not an excuse for him to not work hard (he is one of the most hardworking men I know), but he taught me, by example, that the most beautiful things in life are the things we already have. It’s something I always try to remember.

I’m not here pretending that I never feel down, but taking time to reflect on all the things I have, no matter how small, never fails to change my mindset. Because I don’t necessarily deserve anything that I have: my marriage, my family, my current situation. Of course, I’ve put all the chances on my side, but all of this could disappear in a heartbeat.

Despite our life circumstances, there is so much to be grateful for, and I encourage you to let nothing and no one convince you otherwise.

Happy Friday xx

Beautiful 💕 are those lemons? Your father sounds like a wise man. Thanks for sharing.

Thank you so much, Rachel! 🩷 They do look like lemons, but I believe they’re actually unripe oranges. Sevilla is famous for its bitter oranges, which are used to make liqueur or marmalade!

Oh yeah! That makes perfect sense. I’ve heard of those oranges before. Have a good day!

This blog came to life as a passion project because I wanted to carve out a cozy corner of the internet where I could dive into the worlds of beauty, homemaking, lifestyle, and relationships while throwing in a bit of heart and soul.
