I Was Just Thinking… – Same Place, Different Life

Hi readers!

I hope you’re doing fine!

My day didn’t seem to have any kind of surprises waiting for me.

I woke up when my husband left for work. I’m starting teaching again at the end of the month so my calendar is purposely light. Since I’ll be working full-time in a new school, I am naturally preparing for the coming semester(s). But given that I am at home on most days, afternoons are rather quiet – which I truly enjoy.

This morning, I got up, cleaned the cats’ litters and fed them – because I’m not allowed to do anything else when I open my eyes – according to Tabo.

A asked me to go to the garage to get something for the car. 20 minutes of bus and 15 minutes of walking later, I got there and did what I needed to do.

I was about to go home when I saw a coffee place I used to spend time studying with my boyfriend at the time and my roommate during my last year of bachelor’s degree. I vividly remember spending afternoons there, writing my essays, reading or distracting these two from studying (guilty!).

I’m now married to this man, with a Master’s degree (I can’t believe it’s over!) – and I saw my (ex-)roommate about a month and half ago when she attended my wedding in Bangladesh. Life, huh?

Lately I’m not leaving the house without my kindle and my reading journal (that I also use as an everything journal). I ordered an iced-latte (not worth the hype in my humble opinion) and began putting my thoughts on paper, I wrote down ideas of posts and attempted to organise the few coming months on the financial side.

Anyways, what a pleasant moment it was.

I’m not sure why I’m posting this but I think we could all use a dash of gratitude, and pause a few minutes to realize how far we’ve come and how proud we can be of ourselves – no matter how big or how small the accomplishment(s) is/are.

This blog came to life as a passion project because I wanted to carve out a cozy corner of the internet where I could dive into the worlds of beauty, homemaking, lifestyle, and relationships while throwing in a bit of heart and soul.
