March Favorites : One Day, Toe Spreaders, Hibiscus Tea…

Hello there!

I hope you are well.

Summer is already here in Malta; temperatures are getting higher, and I never thought I would say this one day, but I can’t stand these warm temperatures anymore. I’ve been living on the island for almost 3 years now, and I have had enough of this disgustingly humid and warm weather.

But we always want what we don’t have, right? So let’s keep a positive mindset and enjoy the crazy warmth while it’s here.

In today’s post, I’d love to share my favorites from March.

Toe spreaders

This is, without a doubt, the strangest thing I’ve shared so far. But it is probably my favorite object ever.

I was blessed with bunions (LOL), so I often experience some discomfort because of them. I decided to look into the foot wellness world and came across silicone toe spreaders, which apparently had all sorts of benefits.

I ordered some for a few euros. And this is my best purchase of 2024 so far! I’ve been using them for about 2 or 3 months. I first started wearing them for 10 minutes a few times a week, and now I wear them about 3 or 4 times a week, for an hour or two.

I honestly bought it thinking it was another gadget, but I was completely wrong. Now, this will probably not fix any serious issues you are having in this region of your body, but it will definitely help you with balance,  toe deformities and offer some relief after a long day!

PS: It’s important to wear them no longer than 10 minutes in the beginning because you will experience discomfort (as your toes will be stretched in an unnatural position for a long period of time).

Rice cakes with a thin layer of Nutella and coconut flakes

The other night, I felt like eating some nutella, but I did not have bread and could not motivate myself to make some crêpes. So I checked my kitchen drawers and found some salty rice cakes. I ended up sprading some nutella on some rice cakes and added a few coconut flakes.

I know it’s nothing exceptional but it blew my mind! It was sooooo delicious! If you have never tried, you really should!

One Day

My fiancé and I were looking for a show to start, just a casual watch. We saw this one show called ‘One Day’ which was trending on Netflix, so we decided to start it.

To be honest, after watching the first episode I turned to A and asked him ”Why are we watching this?”

The next day we ended up watching the third and four episode. And as the episodes went on… we both loved it.

The story line is so beautiful and realistic, the music in the show is just perfect and the actors are truly talentous. This show is basically a deep, interesting, revolting and sad story of two people who will always be connected.

Hibiscus tea

This is the perfect time to finally write about my two year old obsession : Hibiscus tea. I must say, this is more a ‘all time favorites’ than a ‘March favorite’ but this past few weeks, I have been loving and having it in a religious manner.

I love the taste and smell of hibiscus leaves. I ordered a big bag of it a couple of years ago and never stopped drinking it. I just pour some boiling water and let it infuse. I drink it without adding anything else but that’s simply a personal preference. Sugar, honey, ginger, lemon…. the possibilities are endless.

The benefits of hibiscus are also endless, here is an interesting link if you are interested in knowing more about it  : https://www.healthline.com/health/all-you-need-to-know-hibiscus#dosage-and-side-effects.

I always enjoy taking notes of random things I’ve been loving because not only I love watching and reading this kind of content, but it’s also a great way to keep these posts as memories for future me.

I am hoping that you had a great time reading me. Feel free to share with us your March favorites!

Many many hugs,

Garance
