I hope you are doing well! My Christmas recess is officially over, as it’s time to go back to university for me.
In order to start this year on a good note, I decided to make a list of the random things I’ve been loving lately.
I am thinking about starting a ‘favorite’ series on the blog because I enjoy sharing with you these little things that infuse some joy into my busy life. I would also love to hear from you!

Second skin tint

I haven’t worn foundation in years because I can’t stand the feeling of it anymore. I didn’t really bother looking for a better option until recently. I felt like finding a product that was not too heavy or covering but would still give me a nice glow. I decided to give ‘Second Skin Tint’ a try, even though I had never heard about it, and I absolutely LOVE IT. It’s a very light and moisturizing product that will not hide your imperfections or beauty marks; it simply gives you a unified and glowy look. And if I do want to get a more ‘flawless’ but natural result, I would just add some foundation powder on top of it.
Dermaplaning
I once saw a Tik Tok of a woman shaving her face with one of those small face razors, and I just went on with my day. Eventually I got influenced (I’m just human, LOL) and ordered a set. I put some oil on my face to make sure the razor would go smoothly on my skin, and the result left me speechless. My cheeks were so soft, and the hair did not grow thicker like I’ve heard before. It’s not really the kind of thing that anyone but yourself would notice, but it just feels so nice. Be very careful if you have acne bumps, because you could cut yourself and make it worse. I personally only do it when my skin has no pimples. It’s better to read about it first, just in case!
Caramel Swirl candle
For Christmas, A got me a big Caramel Swirl candle, and I haven’t stopped lighting it up since then. It smells exceptionally good and strong. I am a sweet perfume girl, so if this is not the case for you, you might not like it as much. But this candle’s name is more than accurate, the first time I lit it up, A thought I baked something. You should’ve seen his face once he realized there was nothing in the oven!
Homemade flaxseed gel
I’ve shared with you that I decided to re-make the DIY flaxseed gel after it went viral on social media, and I haven’t stopped making it since then. A small amount of this gel mixed up with a little bit of my leave-in conditioner is basically all I use in the morning to get the softest and bounciest curls! If you haven’t yet, definitely give it a try! Just make sure to not use too much of it if you do not plan on rinsing it. This is the mistake I made when I first tried it, but with the right amount, this concoction does wonders!
My new electric toothbrush
When I opened my first gift on the 25th, it was one of these moments where I thought to myself, ‘This man is my soulmate’, yes, another gift from A! This could seem like a very random present, but if you know me, you know that I brush my teeth for way too long and take my oral hygiene a little bit too seriously sometimes. And for some reason, I really wanted an electric toothbrush but never got one. This has been a life-changing experience, no less!
Watching The Parent Trap
Lately, I’m in an extra cozy, heartwarming mood, so we decided to cook something yummy and watch a childhood classic. I honestly barely remembered that movie, and A had never watched it before, so it was such a good surprise for both of us. A funny, wholesome, children and adult-friendly movie! We loved it!
Having egg/(vegan) bacon & Philadelphia/strawberry jam bagels
This is my new go-to breakfast whenever I feel like going a little bit fancier than usual in the morning. I love making it just as much as I love eating it. I have nothing more to say. Just delicious.
